Deacon WONG is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GABES Limited, a Hong Kong–based PropTech company enhancing fire safety in the property and facility management sector through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) innovation. With a strong background in fire safety engineering, Deacon is committed to transforming how buildings prevent, detect, and respond to emergencies.
Beyond product innovation, Deacon actively promotes fire safety awareness and application. Over the past four years, he has delivered talks, workshops, and live-fire drills at schools and universities to strengthen public preparedness while fostering a new generation of safety-conscious professionals. To expand the educational impact, Deacon also helped establish the Student Branch of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Hong Kong Chapter, uniting university students on a common platform to promote professional growth of the next generation and innovation in facility management.
In addition, Deacon leads project collaborations with government bodies, educational institutions, and facility managers to pilot next-generation fire safety systems—bridging innovation with real-world deployment and advancing Hong Kong’s fire safety standards
Deacon continues to champion research-driven innovation that connects academia with real-world facility management needs. His vision is to integrate data-driven intelligence into building safety, shaping safer, smarter cities — a mission recognized by the Hong Kong ICT Awards (Smart Home and Community – Silver) and by GABES’s selection as a Cyberport Incubatee.
