HK IVE PRESENT A TECHNICAL SEMINAR ON BUILDING FACADE MAINTENANCE

The seminar intends to provide a platform for attendees to appreciate the configurations of curtain walls and to share knowledge on best building facade maintenance practice. The two speakers will talk about basic knowledge of building facades, reasons for maintaining them and how to perform regular inspections.

The seminar will also show 2 videos relating to the installation of a typical curtain wall unit and replacement of a defective piece of glass.

This interactive workshop will show you how to use capital budgeting to convince yourself and top management that the projects you are recommending are worth the investment. Capital budgeting is the process by which the firm decides which long-term investments to make. You will learn to differentiate between capital and expense costs and to decide which costs to include in your project investments. You will get to calculate cash flow generated from the project and its costs as cash flow is critical to the long-term success of an organisation. The concepts of cost of capital, discounted cash flow, payback period, net present value and internal rate of return will be illustrated with examples and exercises.

Facility managers who need to justify long-term investment or projects and thus. contributing to the financial success of the organization. Participants must have attended our 2-day workshop on "Finance for Facility Manager" or have a sound knowledge of basic accounting concepts - debits, credits, reading and interpreting financial statements, financial analysis and cash flow.
