Meet your FMP Instructors
Ir. Dr. John D. Gilleard

John recently stepped down as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Construction & Land Use and Professor / Head of the Department of Building Services Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Prior to joining the PolyU, John worked in the US, Singapore and the UK. He established Asia's first graduate programme in Facility Management in 1996.

He is a graduate of the Universities of Manchester (BSc), Liverpool (MEng) and Salford (PhD). He is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the International Facility Management Association and CoreNET Global. John received IFMA's prestigious 'Educator of the Year Award' in 1998, and was elected an IFMA Fellow in 2002.

John taught for many years the Facility Management: Professional Practice, International Strategic Facility Management, Facility Planning and Project Management and Benchmarking studies subjects at Master's level. He has also presented numerous lectures, seminars and workshops around the globe, including presentations at IFMA's World Workplace Conferences in the US, Europe and Japan, CoreNet Global conferences in Beijing and Hong Kong as well as to numerous academic events. He is currently a partner with the Sloane Partnership, a FM training consultancy specializing in the areas of facility management, benchmarking and business communications.

Graham Tier

Graham has studied at various intuitions in Australia gaining qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management and Construction management.

Graham is now working with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, a non-profit, charitable organisation in Hong Kong, which has a total annual revenue of HK$100 billion. His responsibilities include managing all matters relating to the Operations and Maintenance of racing and non-racing facilities. The facilities are made up of approximately 9 million square feet of residential, commercial and recreational facilities.

He is the President of the International Facilities management Association in Hong Kong Chapter.

Graham has worked for many leading international companies such as British American Tobacco, Johnson & Johnson, McPherson's, Amcor and shares a network with many Blue chip organisations internationally. He is a regular speaker on best practice techniques and facilities issues with the various Hong Kong institutions.

Arnald Ng

Arnald Ng   MCR, CFM, MSc, LEED AP

Arnald is an approved instructor of IFMA, delivering CFM Exam Review Workshop in Asia Pacific. She has served IFMA since 1998 and has held various positions within the Association in promoting Facility Management and CFM. She is currently one of the members of the International Credential Committee (ICC) for IFMA.

Arnald has worked for many leading companies such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Hongkong Land, Sun Microsystems & Johnson Controls Inc. At present, she is the Account Director of ISG Asia managing the projects and facility management services for Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong.
